The Ministry of Justice confirmed that, in implementation of Amnesty Decree No. 7 for terrorist crimes, issued by President Bashar al-Assad, hundreds of prisoners from various Syrian governorates have been released during the past two days.
In a statement, the ministry pointed out that the procedures for releasing the detainees will be completed, explaining that the procedures are between the Terror Criminal Court and the Public Prosecution of the Terrorism Court, in addition to a number of detainees whose decisions have been challenged, and the Special Chamber of the Terrorism Court will take charge of their release within the next two days.
The ministry indicated that all prisoners covered by the amnesty decree will be released successively in the coming days.
