Seven young adults want to create spaces for subculture in Dachau.

Now they have founded the association “Kurzschluss”.

They have big plans with him: an open-air at Karlsfelder See!

Dachau – you are young, creative and party-loving.

And: You have a big goal: Dachau should become more attractive for young people!

Seven friends have now founded an association for this purpose: they called it “Kurzschluss”.

"We all come from the scene of electronic dance music and have joined forces, so to speak, to promote the subculture in Dachau," explains club chairman Tizian Sacher.

The 28-year-old from Dachau and his friends have already organized numerous electronic dance events.

In the fall of 2018 and 2019, they set up the open-air event “Open Ear” at Lake Karlsfeld with their party collective and the Karlsfeld youth center.

Young artists from the area provided music.

The Outer Circle association surprised visitors with an artistic graffiti performance.

The one-day lake party attracted hundreds of visitors back then.

The club expects a bigger turnout this year.

"After two years of the pandemic, people are eager for something to happen again," says Sacher.

There are no concrete plans yet, but the club members have many ideas.

They agree: This year everything will be one size bigger!

The open air should last two days and take place on a larger area at Karlsfelder See.

This time the district youth council is also there.

Together they want to put together a colorful program with face painting, circus workshops and lectures.

What defines our scene is far more than just loudly playing electronic music.

The Lake Festival is not the only project the association is working on.

"We want to create spaces for creative development," says founding member Matthias Höglmüller.

Specifically, it's about a studio for producing electronic music and a workshop.

Because the music is not the only thing that is made at the events of the electronic party scene from Dachau.

Stage design, jukeboxes and decoration: the organizers make everything themselves in weeks of handicraft work.

“We are very creative,” says Sacher.

"What defines our scene is much more than just loudly playing electronic music."
