Damascus-SANA
Today, Mrs. Asma al-Assad visited the children residing in the (Lane al-Hayat) complex in Damascus countryside on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and gave them gifts and shared the feast and joy with them.
Mrs. Asma met with the supervisors of the complex and the surrogate mothers residing in it, who give the utmost care they can to the care and protection of children and young people in this complex.
The complex's supervisors: The issue of children of unknown parentage needs to strengthen the society's responsibility towards them
The supervisors emphasized that the issue of people of unknown parentage needs to strengthen the society’s responsibility towards them, and that social media has recently contributed to spreading humanitarian incidents of infants who were left in the streets and in front of the doors of mosques and hospitals without knowing their lineage identity, and that the “Lane of Life” complex received them and they became part of their family.
Dozens of children of unknown parentage, infants, children and young adults reside in this complex, where they receive care, protection and upbringing that helps them face life's challenges to be active in their community.
