Raid against vaccination certificate counterfeiters in several NRW cities

Almost 200 officials were deployed in the Rhineland in a raid against counterfeiters of vaccination certificates.
On behalf of the Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office, the federal police searched 15 properties in Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Hilden, Solingen, Cologne, Dinslaken and Erkrath.
Düsseldorf – Ten suspects are suspected of having falsified certificates about corona vaccinations.
The two main suspects, a 40-year-old and a 44-year-old, were arrested.
A pharmacy, a corona test center and a beauty salon were also searched.
The suspects are said to have entered a large number of fake certificates of corona vaccinations in vaccination books.
Furthermore, they are said to have produced vaccination certificates with a corresponding QR code using the IT infrastructure of the pharmacy.
In this way, the suspected gang of counterfeiters is said to have obtained a significant source of income.
The accused are suspects between the ages of 32 and 57.
The public prosecutor's office in Düsseldorf obtained a decision to confiscate assets in the amount of 132,000 euros.

Extensive evidence such as about 300 vaccination books, around 1000 batch labels, ten false doctor's stamps, data carriers and mobile phones were secured during the searches.
45,000 euros in cash and property valued at 15,000 euros were seized.
The investigations continued.
