The Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 39 Ukrainian military sites and the elimination of 190 armed Ukrainian extremists during the past 24 hours.
Russia Today website quoted Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov as saying in a press briefing today: "The Russian Air Force destroyed 39 Ukrainian military sites, including a command center and 36 assembly areas for military personnel and military equipment."
He added, "The Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian Tochka-O missile and intercepted nine Smirch-type missiles over the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Kharkov region of Ukraine."
He pointed out that the Russian air defense systems had shot down a Ukrainian drone near the town of Rodnya in the Chernigov region, adding that, during the last day, high-precision missiles destroyed three radars, an S-300 air defense system, a Tochka-O missile launcher and an Osa air defense system. and three Grad rocket launchers.
And he added: The Russian missile and artillery forces destroyed 11 command centers, 54 positions for stationing Ukrainian artillery units and two fuel depots, in addition to 342 fortified points and areas for stationing forces and equipment. 190 extremists were eliminated and 31 military vehicles were destroyed.
According to Russian Defense Ministry statistics, since the beginning of the special military operation, 146 Ukrainian planes, 112 helicopters, 697 drones, 287 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,793 tanks and combat vehicles, 319 multiple rocket launchers, 1,267 field artillery and mortars, and 2,598 special military vehicles have been destroyed.
