We have already seen in recent months collaborations between different companies creating their own Towers universe (like Fortnite developer and Lego last month) and now streaming giant
Spotify
is also announcing the creation of a virtual and interactive island within the game
Roblox
- which offers an online gaming platform.

The new virtual island is described as a meteor where players can spend time with each other online, perform musical tasks and activities, and collect virtual icons through which they can acquire unique items.
Some of the activities available to players include creating their own music like different Beat-Maker stations, and will have to perform different quests for artists.
Spotify noted that an event to be held in the future will include the construction of a complex called K-Park, which will focus on the Korean pop genre and will be hosted by the boys' band Stray Kids and singer SUNMI - and players will be able to obtain and purchase their virtual items.
Spotify notes that the plan is to create a gaming environment where players can interact directly with artists and that some of the profits from the new platform will be donated directly to the artists.
There is also a chance that if the new platform gains momentum and grows, Spotify will take advantage of its position as a music streaming giant and hold events and performances with famous artists - just as Epic Games did with Fortnite when it hosted artists like DJ Marshmallow, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande and many more.
Spotify's surprising move may be a direct response to Epic Games, which just a few months ago acquired the music platform Bandcamp.
Players who would like to explore the virtual island do not need to sign up for the Spotify service, but will have to sign up and create a user on Roblox's site at the attached link >>>
