The mystery surrounding the wild bites in nightclubs does not dissipate.
Since the fall, many young people have explained that they have been bitten in discotheques, and investigations have been opened in the four corners of France.
In a press release entitled "
investigation into the phenomenon of bites in nightclubs
", released Monday, May 2, the parquet floor of Valence (Drôme) in turn reports several complaints.

Two complaints were filed on April 15 by a young man and a 19-year-old woman for events that occurred on the evening of April 10 in the “Le Gold” nightclub in Montélimar (Drôme).
The victims explain "
being bitten during the evening and feeling bad during the evening and then during the following days
", details the prosecution.
On April 30, two young girls aged 15 and 17 in turn filed a complaint for events that occurred on the evening of April 29, still in the “Le Gold” nightclub in Montélimar.
They evoke bites during the evening but this time without associated symptoms.
Discomfort after the bite
In its press release, the Valence prosecutor's office also reports another complaint filed on March 20 by an 18-year-old girl for events that occurred the previous night in the "Le Cocoon" nightclub in Montélimar.

The victim explains that he was stung on the dance floor and felt unwell a few moments later, requiring treatment by the emergency department
", relates the Valence prosecutor's office.

For all of these facts, investigations are underway under the qualification of administration of harmful substance with premeditation or ambush followed by incapacity not exceeding eight days.
The penalty for this offense is three years' imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros
", continues the prosecution, while inviting "
persons who are victims of similar acts to make themselves known by filing a complaint
".
A separate rape case
Finally, the Valence prosecutor's office evokes a separate procedure opened on April 8 for "
acts of rape committed with the administration of a substance to the victim, without his knowledge, to alter his discernment or the control of his actions
".
A 17-year-old girl has indeed reported having been possibly drugged via a substance put in her drink during an evening spent in the "Le Gold" nightclub, in March.
She indicates that she suffered non-consensual sexual relations at the end of this evening.
The penalty for this crime is 20 years in prison.
