A new study in Spain has revealed that the Earth's water cycle is accelerating due to climate change, which could lead to more intense rainstorms and faster melting of ice caps.

The researchers at the institute analyzed ocean surface salinity data measured by satellites in order to understand the ocean circulation, as this circulation depends on the density of water, which is determined by its temperature and salinity, where changes in these two parameters “heat and salinity” can have important consequences for the global climate.
Climate scientists expected an increase in the evaporation of water from the seas and oceans with the rise in global temperatures, which will lead to making the upper layer of the sea more salty and add water to the atmosphere in the form of steam, and this in turn will lead to an increase in rainfall in other parts of the world, which contributes to diluting Some bodies of water to make it less saline.
This acceleration of the water cycle could have profound effects, leading to droughts and water shortages in different regions of the world, as well as more severe storms and floods.
