200 firefighters in action: major fire in the Hamburg nursing home

A fire broke out in a retirement home in Groß Borstel.
Two residents in mortal danger.
Hamburg – Great excitement on Tuesday, May 03, 2022, in the Hamburg district of Groß Borstel.
At around 6:30 p.m., the automatic fire alarm system in the local retirement home was triggered.
The emergency services of the Hamburg fire brigade immediately drive to Borstler Chaussee.
Once there, dense black smoke was already billowing out of an apartment on the first floor.
The train driver on site immediately called for various emergency services.

A part of the retirement home (room for 170 residents) has to be cleared with almost 200 emergency services from the professional and voluntary fire brigade.
At the same time, the fire is also fought.
In the initial stages, what appears to be a battle against windmills.
A total of 60 people from the nursing home were rescued by the fire brigade.
The remaining residents were outside the smoke-filled danger zone.
A total of 19 people were injured.
