The car accident occurred at about 2 pm on December 10, 2018. The driver was driving a light minibus with license plate HG365. A traffic accident occurred at Cheung Hei Street, Hee Wo Street and King's Road in North Point. The incident resulted in 5 deaths and serious injuries. .
The hearing is expected to take 10 days and 37 witnesses will be called.
The deceased woman went to the grocery store and changed her clothes and never returned
Yan Haizhi, the son of the deceased He Yuzhen, said that He worked in a trading company before his retirement.
At the time of the incident, He went to the Xihe Street grocery store to look at things, and then had an accident and died on the spot; Chen Ruiying, daughter of Chen Ruiyi, said that Chen came to Hong Kong from the mainland with her husband to work in the clothing industry and retired at the age of 60. .
On the day of the incident, Chen's husband learned from his friend that Chen Yuan had asked a friend to change clothes together, but he did not arrive on time for the appointment.
Her husband later called the police to find out that Chen had an accident and was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital.
When the family rushed to the hospital, Chen was still in the rescue, and finally died at 5 pm.
Ex-tram driver caught in accident
Liang Xiwen, daughter of Liang Hong, pointed out that Liang was born in the Mainland and worked as a tram driver, an employee of Taikoo Sugar Factory and a printer at Maxim's after coming to Hong Kong.
His daughter estimated that Liang was wandering through the place that day before she encountered the accident, and her daughter later went to the hospital to identify the body.
The school bus rushed from Hee Wo Street to King's Road, many people were killed and injured.
