After a party, three young men chased a Freisinger (18) through half the city.

Unexpected scenes played out in court.

Freising

- They chased him halfway through the city until he had no more strength.

Then the blows rained down on an 18-year-old from Freising from all sides.

"I still don't understand what it was all about," said judge Stefan Kolb in the verdict.

The three young men in front of him had not answered.

They had confessed and thus spared the juvenile court from an extensive hearing of evidence.

However, the accused, aged between 19 and 21, were unable to say why things escalated to such an extent at a party between them and the injured party on December 5 last year.

You don't know what got into you and you're "ashamed to death," was the unanimous tenor.

Based on an agreement, they were sentenced to juvenile prison terms of between nine months and one year and eight months for robbery, dangerous bodily harm and intentional bodily harm, which were suspended on probation.

The payment of 300 euros in compensation for pain and suffering was ordered.

The arrest warrants for two of the accused, who had been in custody since the incident due to previous penalties, were lifted.

The three of them hit the 18-year-old for no reason

According to the indictment, the 18-year-old left the party briefly around midnight to make a phone call.

In front of the building he met the defendants, who were upset because they had to leave the party because of a friend of the victim.

According to the indictment, the 21-year-old from Freising tried to settle the dispute and was successful: the parties broke up.

At around 2 a.m., the mediator asked the co-defendants to hit the 18-year-old.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

For no reason, all three attacked the victim and hit him.

The 18-year-old fled.

The accused pursued him on foot and by car.

When they caught up with him, they knocked him to the ground and even kicked him in the head.

They also insulted the 18-year-old and took a chain, a watch and a cell phone from him.

The trainee's ordeal only ended when the youngest attacker said: "Don't do it, otherwise he'll tell the police."

The 18-year-old suffered numerous injuries all over his body.

Today he still suffers from pain in his hand;

Despite the operation, his finger was not straight, Freisinger said in court.

"Everything else is fine." The 18-year-old was taciturn and was obviously pleased not to have to testify further because of the confessions.

His statements, which are in the files, are partly contradictory.

In this context, the defense attorneys pointed out the high value of the confessions.

In a confrontational questioning in court, the outcome of the proceedings might have been "in the stars," said defense attorney Robert Alavi.

Victim is touched by the defendant's gesture

The 18-year-old was visibly touched when a defendant's letter was read out, in which he asked for forgiveness because he was "at a loss for words because of his shame".

It was the injured party who was the first to hold out his hand to the accused.

Kolb praised the "serious and reasonable apologies" from all the accused: "You must be able to meet again in Freising."

According to reports, the behavior of the accused during the detention check was completely different.

"I don't like being taken for a fool," said judge Stefan Kolb.

That's why he ordered the detention.

However, the judge was able to determine “post-ripening” through the postal inspection.

And the reports from the juvenile court and probation service attested to a positive development for the Freisingers.

According to Kolb, without these advocates, "there would have been no other option but to put the accused in prison."
