Today, the National Health Committee of China announced the registration of 353 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 218,198.
In a statement, the committee added that 16 new deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, all in Shanghai, bringing the total deaths to 5,128 cases.
