In Düsseldorf, a young couple was brutally attacked in their own apartment and threatened with a gun.

The perpetrators struck in broad daylight.

Dusseldorf – A particularly brazen and shocking robbery occurred on Monday (May 2) in the middle of Dusseldorf.

A couple was threatened in their own apartment in Flingern-Nord by two strangers with a gun, tied up and robbed.

The perpetrators were able to escape unnoticed, reports 24RHEIN.

The robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. in an apartment building on Ackerstrasse in Düsseldorf-Flingern-Nord.

Despite the unusual time in the early morning, two strangers in construction worker's clothing forced their way into the victims' apartment.

The couple living there, a 24-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, were completely taken by surprise.

The perpetrators threatened her with a gun in her own four walls and tied them both up – a horror idea.

"They demanded money under multiple threats of violence and finally left the house with jewelry, valuable sunglasses and a camera," the police said.

After the perpetrators escaped with the loot, the man and woman were able to free themselves.

They then called the police.

The police are now looking for witnesses and there are descriptions of the two alleged perpetrators:

Clothing: white construction worker clothing, mouth and nose protection in light blue

Special features: dark brown, orange-tinted full beard, spoke German with an accent

The two perpetrators are said to have transported their loot with a black sports bag.

The Dusseldorf police will take tips on 0211-8700.

In the past few months, there have been several brazen attacks directly at the victims' homes.

In December 2021, an elderly lady from Cologne was even attacked in bed.

The two robbers also stole her wedding ring at the time.
