A woman from Lower Franconia tried to convince the jury of the Vox show "Die Höhle der Löwen" with jam for dogs.
The idea came to her while cooking.
Würzburg – A jam especially for dogs?
Made of meat and vegetables, with "a lot of vitamins": Stevie Page from Rimpar (Würzburg district) can be seen with this idea on May 9th on the Vox show "Die Höhle der Löwen".
On her homepage “Stevie & Schnück's” she reveals how she came up with this somewhat unusual idea.
In the summer of 2020, Page wanted to make jam with her dog.
Her Dalmatian "Schnücki" seemed to be very interested in the human jam, but is not allowed to eat it.
"In order not to confuse the dog unnecessarily, I then said succinctly: 'Ok.
Then I'll make you some dog jam!'"

At first, Page thought the idea was a bit odd.
The 47-year-old wondered: "My goodness, what nonsense!
I was really swinging too close to the wall!"
However, the thought of making jam for dogs never left her.
And that's how her jars with the different varieties came into being.
The "unicorn" jam consists of "chicken with carrots, celery and beetroot shooting stars".
The “bratwurst” made from lamb with caraway seeds and “real daisies”.
The “white sausage” made from veal with bacon and parsley.
And the vegetarian variant is called “love” and contains carrots, potatoes and “a lot of other young vegetables”.
So there is something for every dog.
The jam is said to be part of a kind of dog breakfast.
In summer, the jam can be warmed up in a small saucepan and then frozen into ice cubes.
This then serves as a “nice refreshment” for the dog.
In winter you could use the same principle to make a soup out of it.

The fact that Stevie Page is now taking part in the Vox program is also due to a friend, she tells the Franconian newspaper

"I'm just a fan of the show and I've always watched it," Page said.
However, she admits: “The topic is of course difficult.
That begs the question: do dogs have to have breakfast?” On May 9th at 8:15 p.m. on Vox, dog owners and those who want to become one will find out whether Page will manage to convince the jury and find investors for their jam.
