Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree allowing Russian companies to use the ruble to pay off their financial obligations to foreign creditors from unfriendly countries.
According to the RIA Novosti news agency, the decree allows the debts of Russia, its regions, regions and residents to be paid in rubles.
The Bank of Russia had previously clarified that the new rules require the use of the ruble in any bank transfers for the benefit of creditors from countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia since the start of its military operation in Ukraine, while allowing the use of the original debt currency in transactions with countries that have not imposed sanctions, provided that a license is issued.
