Some socialists resisted, categorically refusing to follow the PS, which joined, on Wednesday, the “New popular ecological and social union” led by La France insoumise for the legislative elections, and which already includes environmentalists and communists.
Because if Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who firmly believes that he can reach the post of Prime Minister, has been somewhat demonized lately, they are nonetheless aware of the damage that his ideas could cause.
“The Mélenchon program remains a form of sovietization of the system, an option of hyper-collectivization,”
warns Olivier Babeau, president of the Sapiens institute.
A program which, in an open economy, would lead to a flight of capital, followed by a sharp slowdown in the economy, or even a collapse.
