Village flea market on Saturday: The green balloon indicates where treasures can be found

Just like here at the 1st Moosinninger Hoffleamarkt, bargain hunters can go stalking at the large village flea market in Otterfing on May 7th (symbol image).

"Otterfing cleans up" Under this motto, 222 households will take part in the large village flea market on Saturday, May 7th as part of the "Climate Spring Oberland".

Treasures large and small are waiting to be unearthed almost everywhere in the community.

– On Saturday, May 7th, a worthwhile area awaits bargain hunters from near and far: Under the motto “Otterfing clears out”, the place is transformed into a huge flea market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – modeled on the well-attended courtyard flea markets in cities.

The municipality's idea of ​​participating in the "Climate Spring Oberland" series of events with a village flea market was well received by the citizens.

Marion Wessely and Ingrid Eder, who were in charge of the organization in the town hall, could hardly save themselves from registrations.

222 households registered more or less large stalls.

"It is sold on private property," says Wessely.

What is offered is up to the seller.

"I myself am very excited to see what treasures will be revealed there."

Flyers are available in the town hall and shops so that potential buyers can get an overview of where stands can be expected.

"The motto is: Follow the green balloons," says Wessely.

Wherever a balloon is hoisted, it is sold.

The stand plan can also be downloaded to a smartphone via QR code.

Wessely recommends using a bicycle with a transport option in order to get from bargain to bargain quickly.

Sales stands can be found in almost all streets and districts.

Only the somewhat remote Wettlkamer have moved their stands to Otterfing.

Almost at the same time as the village flea market, the traditional children's stuff bazaar takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school auditorium, organized by the parents' council of the house for children.

40 booths are set up there.

Visitors to the village flea market can fortify themselves at snack stands run by the village associations.

At the Frauenbund on Berghamer Straße there is coffee, cake and grilled food;

the Schützen serve fish rolls and fries at Gambsweg, the veterans serve shashlik at Münchner Straße 1;

A little further (Münchner Straße 19) the traditional costume association prepares raclette and grilled rolls.

If you feel like pizza, the ski club on Pitzarweg will cater for you.

The butter pretzel cyclists offer a "flying" service to the athletics youth, who will be out and about in the eastern part of the village in particular.

Wessely hopes the weather will play along.

The forecast for Saturday is cloudy skies, hardly any rain, up to 18 degrees.

“We would take that,” says Wessely.

Anticipation can be felt throughout the village for the “first major joint project of the village community after Corona”.

And last but not least, an important idea of ​​“climate spring” is conveyed: those who ensure that old things continue to be used conserve resources.
