"I just want to know where he is," Jason Abate pleaded.

"Please, someone have a heart."

On November 30, 2021, Jason's fiancé Beau Mann, 39, went missing in Los Angeles, California.

Jason told Dateline that he last spoke to Beau on November 29, the day before he went missing.

“She told me she was going to bed,” Jason recounted.

But she hasn't heard from him since that night.

Beau and Jason met five years ago.

Jason said the couple met on a dating site while he was visiting Texas for a wedding.

“I had lived there for a year, running a bank.

Then I was relocated to Michigan," Jason told Dateline.

“I had made some friends in Texas and they had invited me back,” he added.

He and Beau were supposed to meet for coffee during their short trip, but Jason was in San Antonio and Beau was in Austin, more than an hour apart.

"We didn't get a chance to meet in person at the time, but we kept talking for several weeks," Jason recalled.

“In the end he told me: 'I'm going to East Hampton.

Would you like to meet me in the city?” he recalled.

Jason told Dateline that he jumped at the chance to meet the man who had already captured his heart.

They finally reunite weeks later in New York City, where Jason says that he also met another special person in Beau's life, Sandy Eggers.

Sandy met Beau over 20 years ago and soon became a godmother-like figure to him.

“He was a friend of my son.

He impressed me a lot,” Sandy said.

Sandy recalled how she quickly realized that Beau was "ambitious and very smart."

“I guided him through his business ventures and eventually he set up his own business,” Sandy recalled.

The business was an app called Sober Grid.

According to its website, Sober Grid is an app designed to provide people with "easy access to private help at any time and at any stage of the recovery journey."

The goal of the app is to help users "stay on the path to sobriety."

Beau suffered from substance abuse issues when he was younger and wanted to create a support system for people to stay clean and sober, according to Jason.

"I don't want to sound too dramatic, but it has changed the world," he said.

As the world changed, Beau moved through it too.

Jason said Beau's work took him across the country, and he often took Jason with him.

"I think he and I had traveled to 27 different places," Jason recalled.

“We were always on a plane meeting each other somewhere,” he noted.

It's been a long-distance relationship for the two of them: Jason still lives in Michigan, while Beau lives in California.

According to Jason, Beau moved to Los Angeles about three years ago for work.

But he was born in Post, Texas.

Jason said Beau's parents split up when he was young, so he grew up commuting between his father's home in Texas and his mother's in Massachusetts.

In 2021, Beau returned to Texas to visit his family for Thanksgiving.

“She had a great time and flew back to Los Angeles from there,” Jason said, adding that he spoke to Beau on the phone when she got home on November 29, and everything seemed normal.

“He told me that he loved me and that he wanted to adopt children with me,” Jason recalled.

"That was the last message I got from him," he added.

But the next day, Beau wasn't responding to Jason.

At first she didn't think anything had happened.

Due to Beau's busy schedule, Jason said it wasn't unusual for her to go a few days without responding.

“Everyone assumed they would get back to him in a day or two,” she noted.

But when the texts stopped coming to Beau's phone, Jason began to worry.

"I called some people close to him and they couldn't go check on him," he explained.

After a few days with no response from Beau, Jason contacted the LAPD to ask them to run a check on Beau's well-being.

But according to Jason, they told him that he needed someone from the Los Angeles area to meet them at Beau's apartment.

Jason asked Beau's assistant for help.

She had a key to her apartment and was able to meet with the police.

Beau was nowhere.

The assistant officially filed a missing person report that day, December 4, 2021.

According to a press release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department, Beau “was last seen on November 30, 2021, at around 2 p.m., at a convenience store in the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard. ”.

Agent Jill Calhoun is assigned to investigate Beau's case for the LAPD.

Officer Calhoun confirmed that the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit officially received a tip that Beau was missing on December 17, 2021.

They learned that Beau was dropped off by an Uber at a 7-Eleven on Ventura Boulevard and obtained security footage from that day.

“Uber is definitely under investigation.

I can't release the details, but it's definitely been investigated," Officer Calhoun told Dateline.

The last time Jason talked to Beau, Beau told him his car wouldn't start.

That meant he had to use Uber.

“We have outstanding search warrants,” Officer Calhoun told Dateline, for information on cell phone records and GPS locations.

Friends and family believe that Beau was in danger.

“We reviewed her phone records.

The last text from her was 911,” Jason said.

Officer Calhoun confirmed to Dateline that Los Angeles police did receive a 911 text message from Beau and that "several attempts were made to contact [him] through that correspondence."

Beau never responded.

Officer Calhoun said despite that, her office does not suspect violence at this time.

Jason disagrees.

He believes all signs point to Uber.

Reviewing company records, Jason said he discovered the app shows Beau was dropped off at the 7-Eleven on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City around 2:05 pm.

It is believed that at some point during that time, Beau sent a text to 911. It then appears as if he was dropped off on Berkeley Street in Santa Monica, California at 2:35 pm.

But Jason said no one saw him there.

“That should make everyone nervous,” Jason noted.

An Uber representative told Dateline in an email that no incident was reported to the company.

Jason, his family and Beau's friends have been “pushing and pushing and pushing” to find out what happened to Beau and are frustrated with the progress of the case.

But she assured that she will continue to do what she can to find her fiancé.

"I know at one point [Beau's] family was in California and handing out flyers," Jason explained.

He added that her own mother is in the hospital battling a serious illness, so she has been unable to make frequent trips to California.

He runs the HelpFindBeauMann Facebook page and also does livestreams on Facebook and Instagram to spread awareness of Beau's story.

He and Beau were getting married in June, just a month from now.

"I really miss him.

He was someone you prayed for,” Jason said.

Beau would be 40 years old this Thursday, May 5.

According to Los Angeles police, he was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a dark sweatshirt, dark pants, and black shoes.

He is described as a man approximately 1.70 meters tall and 220 pounds (100 kilos), with dirty blond hair and blue eyes.

And according to Jason, he has "the most beautiful dimples in the world."
