"Numerous shots" in Duisburg: Witnesses asked for videos

After shots were fired on the street in Duisburg on Wednesday evening, four were injured, a homicide commission took over the investigation.

In the course of numerous personal determinations, 15 people were temporarily taken into custody, the police and public prosecutor announced on Thursday in Duisburg.

The motive for the dispute is so far unclear.

Duisburg – According to the police, some of the people have references to the rocker and clan milieu.

The investigators asked for information from witnesses to the crime and the people involved.

"Photographs or video recordings that were made during or after the crime are of particular interest to the investigators," said the public prosecutor's office and the police in Duisburg.

The police announced in the morning that the crime scene recording is still ongoing.

The Duisburg fire brigade supported the work on site.

The shots were reported around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday evening.

When the police appeared at the scene of the crime in the Hamborn district of Duisburg, many of those involved fled.

Four people were injured by the "numerous shots" according to the police.

Two were taken to hospital by ambulance, and two later sought medical treatment themselves.

According to the police, there is no danger to life.
