A cyber attack on the computer servers of the multinational Massey-Ferguson blocked several production sites of the tractor manufacturer, including that of Beauvais, according to our colleagues from Courrier Picard.
It was at 10:30 a.m. this Thursday morning that the company's sites in France, but also in Germany and China, were hit by a cyber attack which rendered the computer servers inoperative.
In Beauvais, the Agco and Gima production chains on avenue Blaise-Pascal were forced to stop work, sending home nearly 1,000 employees.
“I was not present when it happened but it is indeed an attack on the group's servers around the world, confirms an employee.
There's a bit of panic everywhere and we don't know when it will be possible to return to work, in one, two or three weeks, we don't know.

For the time being, the stoppage of production is only confirmed until Monday, the employees having been asked to take a day off or RTT for this Friday.
“Each employee is asked to connect to a toll-free number from 5 p.m. on Friday May 6 in order to find out about our recovery possibilities on Monday May 9
”
, is it written in an email sent to employees.
Contacted this Thursday evening, management did not respond to our requests.
This attack is a twist of fate which closely follows a previous ordeal since since the beginning of the year, the production lines in Beauvais have already been forced to stop, this time due to a shortage of electronic components, linked to the health situation in China where these items are manufactured.
Not to mention the conflict in Ukraine which is also contributing to the slowdown in deliveries when possible.
"We must be at ten days off since the beginning of the year", assessed an employee at the end of April.
A total that will increase further due to this sudden cyber attack which has just stopped the assembly of Massey-Ferguson tractors in Beauvais.
