"NATO forces are deployed near the borders of Russia and Belarus and groups can launch attacks," Kosygin was quoted as saying in a statement on the Belarusian Defense Ministry's Telegram channel, adding that "Belarus' close neighbors have increased the scope and intensity of military exercises."
Kosygin explained that "since the beginning of this year, NATO forces and national armies have conducted 15 exercises," noting that "military exercises of multinational forces bearing the symbolic name-Defender Europe 2022 are currently being carried out in the territories and in the airspace of Central and Eastern European countries, including Poland and the Baltic states.
