Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful was full of praise for Kate's Middleton's elegance.

Her gorgeous performance also wowed at the British Fashion Council awards ceremony.

London – The photographers held their breath when the Duchess of Cambridge (40) arrived.

Later there was praise from the highest authority: Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful (50) called Kate Middleton's style "inspirational" at the "The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design" award ceremony.

The mother of three represented Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (96) at the awards ceremony and presented herself in a stunning new look.

In an emerald dress by Canadian-British designer Edeline Lee, the 40-year-old strayed from her usual, tried-and-true brands at the high-fashion event at London's Design Museum.

The midi dress featured a high, draped neckline, long ties at the elbows, and two gold belt buckles on the tone-on-tone belt that cinched the slender Duchess's waist.

The wife of Prince Williiams (39) was also able to score with her fine tuning.

Her brunette hair was parted in the middle, straight, shiny and loose.

She styled it with gold statement Nadine Irena 'Maya' earrings, which she's already worn on her Caribbean tour, as well as emerald green Emmy London suede pumps and a matching clutch.

At the event, Kate Middleton chatted with the editor-in-chief of British Vogue, who was already working with Kate's sister-in-law Meghan Markle, 40, when she guest-edited the magazine's September 2019 issue.

During the ceremony, the Duchess presented the Award for British Design to 29-year-old London-based Guyanese menswear designer Saul Nash.

At the subsequent fashion show, Enninful and Middleton also discussed the interests of the British fashion industry away from the runway.

On Instagram, Kate let the scent of the fashion world sniff:

The award aims to recognize the cultural and economic role played by the British design and fashion industry during the Queen's reign, which will celebrate her 70th jubilee in 2022.

The first award was presented to Richard Quinn (32) in February 2018, when the Queen paid a visit to London Fashion Week for the first time.

The queen presented the design award herself at the time, but the picture that she showed in the front row next to Vogue legend Anna Wintour (72) at the show of the honored young designer made headlines worldwide.
