The incident happened at about 2 pm on December 10, 2018. The driver of the accident, driving a light minibus with license plate HG365, taxied on the slope of Hee Wo Street in North Point to King's Road, resulting in 5 deaths and serious injuries.

Li Yulan, the company owner of the school bus that caused the accident, confessed that the driver Wu Yaozong was hired as the school bus driver in March 2018. Wu's driving skills were good and he did not receive any complaints.
The minibus involved in the accident passed the government vehicle inspection in August 2018. Li also personally inspected the school bus on October 25 of the same year and found no problems, but replaced all the tires.
A post-mortem inspection of the minibus found no problems, and the car has since been sold.
Only had one conversation with the driver afterwards
Li continued to point out that she never saw Wu again after the incident. She tried to contact Wu by message afterwards, but his wife replied on his behalf, and she only spoke to Wu once.
