On the EBE 2 district road, the speed is to be reduced to 70 km/h on the Poing-Angelbrechting and Angelrechting-Neufarn sections.
That's what Poing and Vaterstetten are demanding.
Poing/Vaterstetten – The municipalities of Poing and Vatersteten have submitted a joint application to the Ebersberg district office for the ordering of a speed limit on the EBE 2 district road. The requirement: In the Poing – Angelrechting – Neufarn section, the speed should be reduced to 70 km/h throughout.
The speed limit there is 100 km/h, as is usual on extra-urban roads.
Poing: Joint application with Vaterstetten
As the municipality of Poing announced on Thursday, the two mayors Thomas Stark and Leonard Spitzauer (Vaterstetten) signed the joint application on April 27th and forwarded it to the Ebersberg district office.

This was preceded by two unanimously passed resolutions in the municipal councils of the two municipalities.
The respective administration was thus commissioned to submit a corresponding application to the district office as the responsible transport authority.
Main reason: at the entrances to Neufarn and Poing-Süd and especially on the section of the EBE 2 through Angelrechting (in town, the speed limit there is 50) drivers are often much too fast.
To counteract this, the speed should be limited from 100 to 70 on the two short stretches between Poing and Angelrechting and Angelrechting and Neufarn.
Radar measurements show significant violations
According to the municipality of Poing, several violations were found during radar measurements in 2021.
Top values: once 90 and once 123 km/h on Neufarner Straße (= through road = EBE 2).
The highest speed measured so far at the entrance to Poing was 115 km/h.
