The Supreme Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine condemned the Israeli occupation forces' violations of Palestinian sanctities and their assault today on worshipers and those stationed in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement carried by Wafa Agency, the committee pointed to the escalation of the repressive occupation measures and its violations against Muslim and Christian worshipers, restricting their access to the Holy Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to practice their religious rites, in addition to the brutality and abuse of women and children, and the arrest of young men stationed to protect Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
The statement added that "the Palestinians, Muslims and Christians in one trench, are facing Israeli and settlement practices to protect their holy sites and defend their presence in occupied Jerusalem, which the occupation authorities are seeking to empty of its original residents," calling on the international community to take urgent action to save Jerusalem and its sanctities and put an end to these flagrant violations and violations of international law and to
pay attention to the dangers Staring at the Holy City from Judaizing and changing the demographic reality in it.
In turn, the Ministry of Endowments condemned the Israeli occupation's attacks on Palestinian holy sites and their seizure of thousands of dunums of Islamic Endowment lands south of Jericho in the West Bank.
The ministry confirmed that the occupation forces seized today 22,000 dunams of the lands of Al-Sawahrah Al-Sharqiah town and the shrine of Al-Nabi Musa, south of Jericho, as part of the occupation's plans to displace Palestinians and seize and Judaize their lands.
