Dießen – For six years, Uschi Wacke led the fortunes of the Dießen trade association as chairman.

At the end of the year she leaves the command bridge, as does Vice Erich Beausencourt.

The copy shop entrepreneur has put her heart and soul into raising awareness of the trade association with attractive public events.

The association, which is affiliated with the “Association of Self-Employed”, has 58 members from trade and commerce.

That's why Uwe Jennerwein, Managing Director of Oberbayern-West, was a guest at the meeting.

He was full of praise for the forthcoming chairpersons and looked forward to the last three events under their direction.

On September 18th, after a two-year pandemic break, the market Sunday, which is popular throughout the region, will take place again in the center from Hofmark to Untermüllerplatz.

Wacke would like all shops to be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this time without exception.

In addition to numerous fierantes, there will be an attractive supporting program as always, plus music and stands for snacks and snacks.

Markus Dieffenbach from Café Goldammer, whom some members already see as the future chairman, brought up the idea of ​​a children's competition.

Under the guidance of the "Freie Kunstanstalt", the kids make boats from various parts, which can be picked up free of charge in shops across town, and then compete in the Mühlbach stream.

Mayor Sandra Perzul, an interested guest at the meeting, was asked to open the alternative parking lot on Rotter Straße on market Sunday.

"Dießen LICHT" promises a pre-Christmas feeling on November 24th, the Thursday before the first Advent.

Light and spectacular fire shows, stilt walkers, magicians, a samba group with glowing drums, stands from local clubs and schools, snack and mulled wine stations and, of course, shops decorated for Christmas invite you to stroll around.

The trade association is still looking for volunteers to help with set-up and dismantling, or with traffic and parking regulations, both for the Sunday market and for "Dießen glüht".

More of an internal, albeit public spectacle, promises a football game between the trade association and the Dießener Marktgemeinderat on the grounds of the MTV on October 3rd, the "Day of German Unity".

Mixed teams with young kickers, old men, kids and women will fight for victory.

Even a small tournament is possible if clubs such as the fire brigade or water rescue service play along.

Residents with shops in Mühlstraße and Untermüllerplatz took advantage of the presence of Mayor Sandra Perzul.

The parking situation due to too few spaces is often unbearable.

Inconsiderate parking offenders usually get away without a ticket because the traffic safety association rarely checks.

The community leader promised to improve the number of parking spaces in Mühlstraße.
