Lenggries - The Lenggries-Winkl goat farm is recalling its "Kräuterziege Natur" and "Brennnessel" cheese varieties with batch number 252.
There is a risk of EHEC infection.
The Lenggrieser Ziegenhof warns customers who have already bought these two products - the bacteria found in them could have a dangerous effect on their health.
EHEC symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, and diarrhea
According to the operator, harmful bacteria called “Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli”, EHEC for short, have been detected in the sampled “Kräuterziege” cheese.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the disease usually begins with watery diarrhea, which can become increasingly bloody as the disease progresses.
Accompanying symptoms are nausea and increasing abdominal pain.
In case of suspicion, consult a doctor immediately
"Infants, small children, old people and people with weakened immune systems are more likely to become seriously ill." People who have eaten these foods and develop one of the symptoms described should seek medical help immediately and also point out a possible EHEC infection.
