One man was killed and five others were injured while trying to cross the border wall in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego, US Customs and Border Protection reported.
Authorities received the report at 5:00 a.m. Friday and according to the NBC News affiliate in San Diego, the man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other people were taken to hospital. .
San Diego police said the deceased had fallen from the fence.

On April 1, two migrants fell off the border barrier near Clint, Texas, about 12 miles (19 kilometers) west of the Vidrio port of entry.
