  • Richard Ferrand, Edouard Philippe, François Bayrou and Stanislas Guerini have launched “Ensemble”, a confederation which brings together Renaissance, the MoDem and Horizons for the legislative elections.

  • The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, will stand for legislative elections in the North, the Minister of Labor Elisabeth Borne will be a candidate in Calvados.

    Bruno Le Maire and Eric Dupond-Moretti will not be candidates.

The PS parliament adopts the historic agreement with LFI

The National Council of the PS adopted by 62% on Thursday evening the agreement with LFI for the June legislative elections, a historic change of direction, after sometimes tense debates which partly prolonged the already engaged revolt of party figures .

The agreement was adopted by 167 votes for, 101 against, and 24 abstentions.

The debates lasted four hours and alternated supporters and opponents of the LFI, EELV and PCF alliance for the legislative elections of June 12 and 19.

"It's a moment of clarification, this vote says to which political space we belong", "on the left" and not with Emmanuel Macron, concluded the first secretary Olivier Faure from the headquarters of Ivry-sur-Seine.

Several dozen of the 303 members of the National Council were present - the others participated by videoconference.
