According to the security forces' working assumption, the two fled on foot after the attack through the northern fence of Elad.

The attack was carried out by two terrorists from Jenin, 19-year-old Assad Yussef Assad al-Rafa'i and 20-year-old Tzabahi Imad Tzabhi Abu Shakir. It is not yet clear how they arrived in Elad and they have not yet been apprehended.

Security forces launched a manhunt for the terrorists, which continued at this time.

The defense establishment fears that the terrorists fled to the territories, so they set up checkpoints on the various roads and search for a suspicious vehicle that fled the scene.

"Our enemies have embarked on a murderous campaign against Jews wherever they are," said Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

"Their goal is to break our spirit, they will fail. We will lay our hands on the terrorists and their supportive environment, and they will pay the price. I convey my deepest condolences to the families of those killed."
