In many parts of Bavaria there were violent thunderstorms in the course of the evening, and flooding was also registered.
Meanwhile, the forecast is for Thursday.

Thunderstorm with heavy rain and hail: It can be uncomfortable at the edge of the Alps this afternoon.
Especially from Werdenfelser Land to Lake Constance, local storms with 30 to 50 liters of precipitation per square meter are possible into the night.
This was announced by the German Weather Service (DWD) on Thursday.
In some places, significantly larger quantities cannot be ruled out “at certain points”.
Heavy rain is also possible on Friday night in the foothills of the Alps, i.e. in southern Swabia and Upper Bavaria.
At the weekend, the DWD continues to expect changeable weather in southern Bavaria.
South of the Danube there could be heavy showers and prolonged rainfall until Sunday, said a DWD spokesman.
This is due to a low spur over the west of the Free State and a low over northern Italy.
"There is relatively little movement in there," said the DWD spokesman.
In Franconia and the Upper Palatinate, on the other hand, people can expect a dry and partly sunny weekend - and with pleasant temperatures of up to 22 degrees.

While the morning starts with sun and blue skies in some regions of the Free State, the first strong thunderstorms are already brewing from midday.

Specifically, the DWD warns of heavy rain.
According to the meteorologists, the Alpine regions and the southern foothills of the Alps are particularly affected.
But also in the eastern part of the Free State it should thunder and lighten.
It can rain up to 45 liters per square meter within a short time.
There are also gusts with speeds of around 60 km/h and small-grain hail.
After all: With maximum values of up to 21 degrees, it remains pleasant today, at least in terms of temperature in Bavaria.

In the meantime, the evening thunderstorms in Bavaria have largely resolved.
According to the DWD, the "Orange" warning level currently (as of 10:45 p.m.) only applies in the easternmost parts of Bavaria.
For Thursday, the weather experts predict dense clouds with some light precipitation for the whole of Bavaria.
Occasionally heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms can occur.

Bavaria weather news: Heavy thunderstorms threaten throughout the Free State
It says: “Individual thunderstorms are approaching from the south.
There is heavy rain with precipitation amounts of up to 25 l/m² per hour as well as gusts of wind with speeds of around 60 km/h (17m/s, 33kn, Bft 7) and small-grain hail.” The weather warning is initially valid until 7 p.m.
The DWD also points out possible dangers: “Lightning can occur locally.
Lightning strikes are life-threatening!
Traffic delays are possible for a short time during the downpour.”
