The Syrian Post Corporation issued a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of Martyrs' Day.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it today, the Corporation stated that those interested and amateurs can obtain the stamp from post offices in the governorates.
Martyrs’ Day, which falls on the sixth of May every year, is a national holiday celebrated by Syria and Lebanon to commemorate the martyrdom of 21 national figures opposed to the Ottoman occupation who were executed by Jamal Pasha al-Saffah in 1916 in the Burj Squares in Beirut and Marjeh in Damascus.
