Clinical psychologists from the Correctional Services Department hosted a parent-child seminar to teach how to get along with their children. They also asked young people to make roses for their mothers to express their feelings.
The Correctional Services Department quoted a young man who participated in illegal demonstrations during the anti-amendment bill. At that time, he was sentenced to a labor camp and received psychological counseling due to his political disagreement with his parents, which made the parent-child relationship worse.
The department said that he finally understood the painstaking efforts of his parents and hoped to repair the relationship with his family.
During the event, he personally made roses for his mother, hoping to be forgiven by his mother.

The Correctional Services Department quoted Hao Tsai, who participated in the event, as recalling that during the "black violence", he participated in radical illegal demonstrations because he had different political views from his family and did not listen to his parents' advice. This made his parents very worried and his relationship with his family deteriorated. .
He was later replaced when his parents accused him of impulsive disobedience and worsening their relationship.
Afterwards, Hao Tsai was sentenced to a labor camp by the court. During the training, he participated in the psychological counseling called "Heart Guidance Program". He began to understand the painstaking efforts of his parents, and learned to let go of himself and apologize to his parents frankly.
His parents have always been there, visiting him every week at Sha Tsui Correctional Institution, which made him understand the importance of family affection.
Therefore, he is determined to make a change, stop committing crimes, and hope to mend the relationship with his family.
