The atmosphere of the Independence Day celebrations was suddenly cut short by despicable terrorists, who in inconceivable evil came to the center of the ultra-Orthodox city of Elad, where I live, and with axes and knives slaughtered innocent passers-by.
The deadly attack joins the latest wave of terrorist attacks in Israel, but it connects more than anything to the brutal attack that took place recently in the ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak.
Another ultra-Orthodox city that sacrificed public victims.
The ultra-Orthodox sector feels well the sharp knife in the heart and it counts more and more holy and pure bodies that have just marched on a city street.
The feeling is hard and awful, the freedom to move around is taken away and the fear fills the space.
But as police helicopters covered the sky in search of the terrorists and YMCA warriors roamed the streets masked with weapons outstretched - exciting sights also popped up. Emerged for a moment to offer water and food to the police.The many rescue volunteers searched with wounded devotion for the municipal park trails.
Elad is a special city.
A city with a special and human mosaic.
Ashkenazis, Sephardim, Haredim, religious, Hasidim and Lithuanians.
A city that hosts dozens of yeshivas that glorify the eastern wall of the Torah world, a city that is a power of grace and giving and helping others.

What has God done for us like this?
We believe in believers and we know that everything that happens is for the good and strengthening.
This is not the time now to blame those sitting in government, even if there is something to blame.
It is a time for strengthening, for unity, for receiving good receipts, for the upliftment of the soul of the fourteenth saints and for the healing of the wounded.
