(CNN) --

As authorities continue to search for the Alabama corrections officer and the inmate she disappeared with, the US Marshals Service said the officer, Vicky White, may have dyed her blonde hair a shade darker. dark and offered renderings of what it might look like after the change.

The agency also released photos of the inmate, 38-year-old Casey White, and identification markers such as various tattoos.

He should be considered "armed and extremely dangerous," the agency said in a press release Thursday.

In a press release, the US Marshals Service said that Vicky White could have dyed her hair darker and given these performances.

Investigators have been following leads that include reported sightings from Florida to Kentucky, Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton told CNN.

But "right now," he said, "we have no idea where they are."

Over the past week, authorities discovered that the 56-year-old officer and the inmate, who was being held on murder charges, may have had a romantic relationship, the sheriff said.

Now investigators suspect a romantic relationship

The couple, who are not related, disappeared last Friday morning when the corrections officer said she was taking Casey White from the Lauderdale County Jail to the courthouse before going to seek medical attention because she was not feeling well, police said. authorities.

But the two never appeared in court and the agent did not arrive at the medical center.

Now, with the search in its seventh day, authorities are looking into "promising" leads they've received from "everywhere," Singleton said Wednesday on CNN's "Don Lemon Tonight."

"I can tell you that we've had several reports of sightings from Florida to Kentucky," Singleton said, though not all of them have been fruitful: In one case, a woman walked into a convenience store and handed a clerk a note that read, "This is Vicky. White, I've been kidnapped, help me," Singleton said.

But she wasn't Vicky White.

Vicky White and Casey White are seen leaving the Lauderdale County Jail.

In the days since they disappeared, investigators determined that the officer and the inmate had a "special relationship" in which Vicky White granted the inmate privileges, including extra food.

The investigation was helped, in part, by inmates who told officials about the relationship over the weekend, Singleton said.

Vicky White, deputy director of corrections for Lauderdale County, was set to retire the day she disappeared.

She had also made some big financial moves before the run, like selling her house on April 18 for well below market value.

The home sold for $95,550, documents show, but Lauderdale County records show the home's total parcel value is $204,700.

The US Marshals Service released these images of Casey White, along with identification markers that include various tattoos.

"Clearly, there was a lot of planning that went into this," Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris Connolly told CNN's "New Day" on Thursday.

Family members and co-workers say they are stunned by the sudden disappearance of the prison officer, whom Singleton has described as a "model employee" with an "unblemished record."

Vicky White has an active warrant for her arrest on charges of allowing or facilitating flight in the first degree.

She is also not an employee of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office, the office said in a statement Wednesday.

Although Friday was her last day of work, her paperwork was never finalized, the office said.
