The Russian coordination headquarters for humanitarian action announced the evacuation of 50 civilians, including 11 children, from the Azovstal factory in Mariupol, Donetsk People's Republic.

The headquarters said in a statement today: “An operation was carried out to evacuate civilians who had been held by the Nazis in the Azovstal factory, and 50 people, including 11 children, were rescued, and all liberated civilians were handed over to representatives of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross for transfer to temporary shelters of their choice.”

The Russian coordination headquarters confirmed that the humanitarian operation at the Azovstal factory would continue tomorrow, Saturday.

A Russian military source estimated that hundreds of civilians are being held by militants under the buildings of the Azovstal factory, which has become the last enclave of Ukrainian forces and Nazi extremists who are fighting with them in the city.

And a Russian military source revealed yesterday that the Ukrainian militants besieged in the Azovstal factory offered to exchange the civilians who are holding them there for food and medicine, indicating that this method is similar to the methods of the terrorists in Syria, especially the ISIS terrorists who offered to exchange the kidnapped civilians with food and medicine at specific weights.
