Ghazwan, 30 years old, joined the mandatory service to perform his national duty since 2011. In his interview with SANA reporter, he tells how he traveled with his comrades on several fronts to restore security and safety to many areas and neighborhoods in Homs city, such as Baba Amr, al-Qarabis, Jouret al-Shayah and others, during which he sustained three injuries to his leg as a result of shrapnel from shells. Treacherous terrorists and quickly recovered from them to return again to the trench of comrades-in-arms.
Ghazwan talks about one of the combat missions he participated in during the presence of terrorist organizations in Harasta in the Damascus countryside and how he was besieged at that time with an advanced group of his comrades, and communications were cut off from them for several days. Army units and in a quick tactical operation to break the siege on them… to later call his family from the hospital, where he was treated to treat his wounds as a result of shrapnel in the face, shoulder and hands.
Ghazwan's injury did not deter him from returning to the side of his comrades on the fighting fronts with determination and determination, only to suffer a broken leg again during one of the missions in Darayya, and after recovering, he returned again and joined his comrades.. Later he was wounded by shrapnel while participating in the missions in Eastern Ghouta. his comrades against armed terrorist organizations.
The wounds that Ghazwan counts as medals of pride were crowned in the Haza area of Ghouta in 2018, with an injury that disfigured his left hand, followed by a stroke as a result of the injury. The last one was about three months ago.
Ghazwan recalls the high morale that he and his comrades-in-arms enjoyed from among the men of the Syrian Arab Army and their willingness to sacrifice themselves and their lives in defense of the homeland, armed with a rooted national creed and a firm belief in victory, and wishing for martyrdom because it is the highest and greatest degree of giving and giving. He said: “Many of my comrades won the honor of martyrdom before my eyes They carried out the greatest epics of sacrifice and redemption... which increased our determination and determination to continue fighting in fulfillment of their pure souls and to follow the path of victory that they baptized with their pure blood.”
With the same high spirit that he displayed during the performance of his national duty, Ghazwan continued his life, moving from war to the field of work with determination, despite all his injuries, to work within a small “kiosk” to the point of selling detergents, Arabic bread, sprayers, and food staples, pursuing his ambition to establish a small business.
