"I just can't remember your name" Toby Gad confuses DSDS brothers

Four remaining candidates will fight for the title in the big “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” final on May 7th.

Juror Toby Gad is rooting for his protégés.

But remembering the names does not seem to be easy for the TV star.

Cologne – The grand finale of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” 2022 (all news on the topic page) is about to start.

On May 7th at 8:15 p.m. Amber van den Elzen (20), Gianni Laffontien (17), Harry Laffontien (21) and Melissa Mantzoukis (18) will fight for the title and the start of a great music career.

But juror Toby Gad still seems to have his problems telling his protégés apart - but it's also mean when, of all things, two brothers are among the four candidates in the final...

DSDS: Finale on May 7th

On Saturday evening, May 7th, it will be exciting on RTL - because the big question of who will win the title "Deutschland sucht den Superstar 2022" (all news about the current season) will finally be answered!

The four remaining candidates have to convince the audience within three songs.

Among them is her own song "Someone To You", which none other than DSDS juror Toby Gad composed for the candidates.

But Toby Gad also seems to have a good relationship with his protégés away from the big show stage.

That is exactly what is becoming clear again and again on Instagram – he supports those who remain and does everything possible to prepare them for the big show business.

DSDS: Toby Gad is open about his weakness

It is precisely here that his weakness becomes his undoing again and again.

Because Toby Gad doesn't seem to be good at remembering names.

Only four candidates are currently fighting for the title – including two brothers, who make things even more difficult for the DSDS judges.

Although the two don't really look alike on the outside, the common last name seems to confuse him, as Gianni's story makes clear.

"Here I am with Harry," Toby Gad introduces his protégé to viewers on Instagram.

But the singer quickly intervenes and makes it clear: "Gianni".

Because Harry is not sitting next to the DSDS juror, but his brother Gianni.

"My God, I just can't remember your name … I'm a disaster," the DSDS juror said.

A situation that Gianni can take with humor - both laugh at the camera as if nothing had happened.

"We're not making a second attempt at the name.

We laughed about it," the 17-year-old commented on the story.
