The Cui Kwai Building in Kwai Chung Village was closed for forced inspection yesterday afternoon. The government completed the operation at about 8:00 this morning (7th). Starting from about 8 am today, those who have taken the test can leave the "restricted area" through designated exits after providing their personal data to the prescribed personnel if they can produce a text message of negative test result to prove their acceptance of the compulsory test.

The government reiterated that it will strictly enforce the law.

Any person who fails to produce a text message of the test results to prove that the compulsory test is a violation of the compulsory test announcement will be liable to a fixed fine of $10,000 and will receive a compulsory test order requiring the person to undergo a test within a specified period.

Failure to comply with a mandatory testing order or a restraining and testing declaration is an offence punishable by a fine at level 5 ($50,000) and imprisonment for six months.
