Today (7th) at 10:59 in the morning, a man surnamed Chen (40 years old) fell from a height and fell to the ground in a coma. He was rescued. Officers arrived at the scene and rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately died.
Police cordoned off the scene for investigation, and the deceased left behind a shoe, a bunch of duct tape and a broken safety rope.
It is reported that the above site is undergoing construction of a shed. It is suspected that the safety rope broke and fell while the shed was erected. The workers found out and called the police.
A customer of the underground restaurant in the building recalled hearing a loud noise and following the sound to see a middle-aged man unconscious on the ground.
The Labour Department said that it has dispatched personnel to the scene immediately after the report and is now investigating the cause of the accident.
