Alberto Núñez Feijóo takes the landing in Madrid in stride after his election as leader of the PP.
A month has passed since he was sworn in as president of the party, there are still many issues to order in his landing in the capital and in the reorganization of the PP after the departure of Pablo Casado.
The Galician baron is still acting president of the Xunta de Galicia, and this has delayed some important decisions that are causing concern, especially in the parliamentary groups of Congress and Senate.
Feijóo does not yet have a seat in the upper house nor has he decided whether the two parliamentary spokesmen will continue in their posts.
He has not met with the groups nor has he completed the organizational structure of the PP beyond the deputy secretaries.
Parliamentary groups are abuzz with speculation about the changes to be expected.
In the Upper House, where in principle Feijóo will be installed as a senator of autonomous designation - an extreme that the popular leader has not confirmed either - in order to be able to confront the President of the Government in the control sessions, the pools on the spokesperson have skyrocketed.
Javier Maroto, the current spokesman, appointed by Pablo Casado, does not stop coming up with hypothetical substitutes in the conversations between the senators.
The majority expects his replacement because it is taken for granted that Cuca Gamarra will continue in Congress, and the majority opinion is that Feijóo has to change some of the main faces of the party to give an image of renewal.
But Feijóo has not opened that melon, and neither of the two spokesmen, neither Maroto nor Gamarra, knows if it will continue.
Although in the leader's team a message of continuity is transmitted.
“If Feijóo went to the Senate, why change the speaker?
It will be Feijóo who will do the important debates, and there is a year and a half left for the general elections.
There is no shooting time to consolidate new spokespersons”, they affirm in their environment.
In any case, the popular leader has not made the decision, and he will not do so until he closes the chapter on his succession in Galicia.
Feijóo, say some of those who know him well, is a Cartesian and orderly politician.
His arrival at the Senate and the rest of the changes are going to be delayed until the second half of May, because on Thursday of next week the investiture of his successor as president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, has to be held, and then his inauguration possession on Saturday.
Until the following week he won't start moving.
The continuity of Cuca Gamarra, general secretary of the PP, in the spokesperson for Congress is perceived as safe in the leadership of the parliamentary group.
“It is reasonable.
As the leader will not be in Parliament, the logical thing is to place your position with more weight after him in the spokesperson for Congress, ”says a prominent leader in the lower house.
Gamarra also acts as a link between Feijóo and the group, and at the moment, for important decisions, she gathers the opinion of the deputies with the most experience and then transmits it to the leader, who has the last word.
This is how the system worked in the vote on the anti-crisis decree, rejected in the end by the PP.

Feijóo has been serving as president of the PP for a month without having met with his deputies and senators, which has caused some discomfort in some sectors.
The tension is also perceived in the organic structure, because, beyond the deputy secretaries, the organization chart of Genoa has yet to be completed downwards, with the appointment of the secretaries and their teams.
In the leader's team they defend their management of the rhythms and get rid of the pressure.
"The party is anxious to clear up unknowns, but what they have to do is look at the polls," these sources say.
"The data speaks for itself: this time management is working well."
