Shortly before 6 p.m., passers-by noticed smoke coming from an attic and immediately dialed the emergency call for the Hamburg fire brigade.

While still in the rescue control center, the call to action is increased and other forces are alerted.
With several fire engines, two turntable ladders and a special aerial rescue vehicle, which is particularly high, the forces are moving in on Löfflerstrasse.
When the fire truck from station 12 arrives, dense black smoke is already coming from the attic.
With two jets, an attempt is immediately made to fight the fire from the inside.
So far, one person is considered seriously injured.
One person suffered severe burn injuries.
Presumably, the deployment in Altona's old town will last even longer.
Around 80 emergency services are on site fighting the flames.
