On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, the Technical Committee for Gymnastics in As-Suwayda held the first Al-Baraem Championship, with the participation of 48 players who represented the clubs of Al-Arabi, Shahba, Salkhad, Al-Quraya and a number of sports clubs.
The first places in the championship, which was held over two days in the under 7 years category for males, for the general singles, for the ground movements, for the fixed device Rayan Nasr, for the throat horse device Hamza Abu Ammar, for the table jumping for Rayan Abu Hussein, and for the females for the same category, Lilas Nasr in the general single, in my competitions with two parallel devices of different heights and the balance beam Juman Al Taqi equally With the player Lilas Nasr, the player Nagham Harb won the ground moves.
In the under 8 years category, he won the male category Aws Al-Salman in the general single and all the races on the throat devices, parallel and fixed, the throat horse and the jumping table as well as the ground movements, while the females came first, Almar Abdel-Malik in the general singles, floor movements and table jumping, Heidi Al-Basit in the Parallel competition of different heights and Sarah Zain Al-Din with the balance beam .
In a statement to SANA, the head of the Gymnastics Federation, Muhammad Haboubati, indicated that the tournament is a good initiative of the technical committee for the game in Sweida and constitutes a nucleus for the republic's championships for the buds during the coming period, especially since the young age groups are the basis of gymnastics.
In turn, the head of the technical committee for the game in Sweida, Louay Al-Harfoush, pointed out that the aim of the tournament is to expand the sport of gymnastics more and strive to restore its brilliance in Sweida.
