Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, affirmed that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) made a huge strategic mistake in its handling of the Ukrainian crisis.
Today, TASS news agency quoted Polyansky as saying, “After 23 years of bombing and destroying Yugoslavia, NATO still represents the main threat to peace and stability, as it is currently waging a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine to the last Ukrainian citizen, for which he has been actively preparing since 2014, and this is a fatal strategic mistake by NATO".
Russia's delegate to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, confirmed last Thursday that the West was waiting for the opportunity to launch an economic war on Moscow and put pressure on it, pointing out that what Ukraine is witnessing is a proxy war being waged by the West against Russia.
