Wolfratshausen - It is a prestige project of the city: In the listed building at Untermarkt 10, the completely renovated local history museum, the newly created tourist information and a shop are to open this year.

You can already take a look at the premises: on the day of urban development promotion, the city is offering tours of the construction site.

Cities and municipalities throughout Germany take part in the day of action and present construction projects that have been made possible with funds from urban development funding.

In Wolfratshausen, the construction site at Reiser-Eck opens on Saturday, May 14 for three themed tours.

There are explanations from the architects and building planners who coordinated the conversion of the monument.

Interested parties can also find out what significance the measure and later use could have for the urban development of Wolfratshausen.

Guided tours are also offered in which the concept of the new "Museum Wolfratshausen" and the historical significance of the property in the history of the city are presented.

The guided tours are free.

Drinks and food are sold in the museum car park.

As reported, the service company of the municipal housing and management company has been commissioned with the conversion.

The city council planned 4.5 million euros for the conversion and renovation and around one million euros for the furnishing of the local history museum.

In the future, it will house interactive hands-on stations and attractions for all senses and all generations.

The half-hour themed tours on Saturday, May 14th take place at the following times.

Architecture: 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m., urban development: 1.30 p.m. and 3 p.m., museum: 2 p.m. and 3.30 p.m.
