The Director of the Russian Space Agency, Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, announced the arrest of a Briton and a Belarusian for intrusion into the Russian-run Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
"The Yuzhny Cosmodrome in Baikonur has sent a report about the arrest of Briton Rich Benjamin and Belarusian Alina Ziluba in the vicinity of launch pad No. 112 of the Buran complex of the Kazakh side," Rogozin said on his Telegram channel, noting that the detainees are still in the Department of Internal Affairs.
In Baikonur, where they are being investigated to determine the connection between their illegal activities.
It is noteworthy that the Russian satellite sites in Kazakhstan have a strategic status, and Russian and Kazakh security and military protection are devoted to them.
