Russia has announced the end of the process of evacuating civilians from the Azovstal factory in the city of Mariupl, the last enclave of Ukrainian forces and Nazi extremists fighting with it in the city.
"Thanks to the unprecedented measures taken by the leadership of the Russian Federation and with the active participation of representatives of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, the humanitarian operation to evacuate civilians from the Azovstal plant has been completed," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement today, noting that the rescued civilians had left, accompanied by representatives of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Cross.
