From June 1st, the 9-euro ticket from the relief package will be available for purchase.

Then everyone has the opportunity to use all of German regional transport for a month for only nine euros.

The North Sea island of Sylt could become a particularly popular travel destination, as it can also be easily reached by regional train.

compared the timetables and listed the respective travel times from various major German cities.

If you start in Hamburg, you can be at the sea in four to five hours.

From Berlin it takes eight to nine hours to get to Sylt.

If you want to travel cheaply from Munich, you have to bring a little more time with you - from there the journey takes about 16 hours.

But for nine euros you can actually take on a longer journey.

Some Twitter users seem to think so too, making fun of the storm on the holiday island.

Because Sylt is a popular travel destination, especially for the beautiful and the rich.

But that could change now, after all, you can save a lot of money when you arrive.

9-euro ticket: Twitter users plan "Liberation of Sylt"

A Twitter user shared an image of a replica Wikipedia info box.

It describes the "9-euro revolution" as "part of the liberation of Sylt".

The jokes about the onslaught of the supposed mob have developed into wildfire.
