Woman wakes up at her own funeral in the coffin - family only hopes for a short time

A Peruvian woman might have been rescued after a car accident but was accidentally found dead.
She woke up at her funeral.
Lambayque (Peru)/Munich - It sounds like a story from a horror film: A woman dies, her corpse is waiting in a coffin for the relatives to say goodbye to her at the funeral.
Suddenly you hear noises from the coffin - she is not dead, she is still alive.

In the city of Lambayque, Peru, with a population of 58,000, Rosa Isabel Cespede Callaca's relatives and friends experienced just that on April 26, 2022.
Callaca died at just 36 years old in a tragic traffic accident that also killed her brother-in-law and seriously injured three nephews.
During the funeral service, the bereaved heard knocking noises from inside the coffin.
It was opened immediately, and sure enough: Callaca gave signs of life.
There should even be video footage of her opening her eyes.
An employee of the cemetery also confirmed this, as reported by the
Daily Mail
.
So Rosa Callaca was rushed to the hospital from her own funeral.
Videos show the hectic scenes and the dismayed and upset attendees at the funeral.
One aunt said, according to media reports: "We want to know why my niece reacted when we took her to the funeral.
We have the videos of her pushing and touching the coffin."
Peru: Could Rosa Callaca have been saved?
The brief hope that the woman could live on did not last long.
Although her vital signs briefly improved when she was placed on life support machines, she died a short time later in Ferrenafe Hospital, this time unequivocally.
How did this terrible misunderstanding come about?
How could a living woman be found dead and placed in a coffin?
And could Callaca possibly have been saved?
The family is now asking these questions.
Relatives suspected that Callaca had just fallen into a coma.
The police want to investigate the case and determine whether anyone at the hospital acted negligently.
