"Don't break it this year": Jan-Marten Block nervous before the cup is handed over in the DSDS final

In the DSDS final, the winner of the 19th season will be chosen today.
This time the trophy will be handed over by last year's winner Jan-Marten Block.
His own then broke in two.
Cologne – The time has finally come, the big DSDS finale (everything about DSDS on the topic page) will take place on May 7th, 2022 in Cologne.
During the live show, the jurors around Florian Silbereisen (40), Toby Gad (54) and Ilse DeLange (44) evaluate their talents again.
One of the finalists Melissa Mantzoukis (18), Amber van den Elzen (20), Gianni (17) or Harry Laffontien (21) will eventually receive the trophy from last year's winner Jan-Marten Block (26) - but he already has certain concerns before his performance.

Ex DSDS winner Jan-Marten Block will present the trophy
Moderator Marco Schreyl (48) will finally say the words again: "The winner of Germany is looking for the superstar 2022 is...".
The viewers alone choose by voting who will be their new "superstar" in the 19th season of the casting show on RTL (everything about DSDS 2022 is here).
It is the first "superstar" in a season without Dieter Bohlen (68) and with Florian Silbereisen as the face of the TV show.
In the end, however, the trophy is not presented by the jury, but by the previous year's winner.
Jan-Marten Block won the title in 2021 - but there was a small mishap at the handover.

At the award ceremony, the DSDS Cup suddenly broke into two parts.
The "Never Not Try" singer posed for his winning photo with two individual pieces, the DSDS logo in one hand and the rest of the trophy in the other.
"We'll weld it back together," joked moderator Oliver Geissen (52) at the time.
Jan-Marten Block is correspondingly worried before his appearance on the live show 2022. He says on Instagram: "Today is the DSDS final and I can be there personally.
And above all: I can also present the trophy to this year’s winner.”

Block adds with an apologetic laugh: "I just hope that I won't break the trophy this year."
But of course, the former DSDS winner also remembers a lot of his own victory from a year ago.
Because behind the scenes, Jan-Marten Block also sleeps in the very hotel where he spent all his time during the live shows.
"I missed this hotel room," he takes his fans on Instagram.
Let's hope everything goes smoothly at the awards ceremony this time...
